Lost Honey
I created this piece in interest of exploring texture by building up color and covering it with white to create depth and organic surface. Under the white is red, blue and magenta which peeps out here and there. Acrylic with handmade honeycomb gel-prints collaged on top. The painting is 16" square on watercolor paper floated in a 19" contemporary black frame, 20" lightweight white frame or mounted on a cradled panel with no frame needed.
This piece, in the black frame, is ON DISPLAY for during March at the Black & White Gallery in the lively neighborhood art bar, SWEETIE'S, at 475 Francisco Street, SF (@Mason). You are welcome to view it Wednesdays - Sundays from 4 - 11pm.
